Continuing to "play" with Golden High Flow Acrylics. Blending techniques to see how I can actually use them in my more natural paintings. As with most things I am surrounded by, it is another WIP (work in progress). I love how the top half has, even with its quick frantic strokes, such a calm feeling to me. High, wispy clouds, new blades of grass, unknown budding flowers. I think it needs an insect or two. This feels quite hopeful and I can breathe here. Anybody ready for a picnic? | Loaf X Loaf |
Then, we dig a little deeper. Just under the surface is where the chaos occurs. The bottom half, with much warmer colors, looks like a mixture of murder and flames. To me, this half feels exciting, frightening, and more than a little daunting. Here, .I see all the energy and late nights, the elation and depression, and the umpteenth cup of coffee it takes.
From the angle, we are closer to the nose-to-the-grindstone view and can only see twenty grass blades ahead. It telling me to keep working. To do the things I have to do in order to do the things I want to do. So, off to taxes and I will return with fresher thoughts.
I never know where my WIPs will take me, but it is usually exactly where I need to go. Ever so slowly evolving - kinda like me!
