A bit more clouds and falling snow before blue skies returned. This week our mid afternoon (3:35pm) sun tucks-behind-the-mountain becomes a bonafied 5:10 sunset. That's more than an hour and a half more of glorious sunshine, people! Warmer temps and more sun dumped the most remaining roofs in town.
Back on this side of Republic, sunlight illuminates the mid-ground trees. I LOVE the feel of this sliver of light.
This week was a brief prelude to thaw. Snow still comes and most likely will fall for another two months. But, when I can walk down melted steps to shovel the sidewalk, I know the air is finally warmer than the ground - at least for today.
The ice and snow on the railing made the first puddle of the year.
A few gorgeous days in a row found me busy tidying up in the studio. I washed windows, vacuumed, and cleaned off my work table, all about two months early. Amazeballs! I have always loved this precursor cleaning/nesting mode.
