How I love this time of year. When winter months begin to break apart into winter weeks that will soon lead to just winter days. This past week has seen about equal parts of sun and snow, of fire and ice. And we finally broke the freezing mark, even if just momentarily. Loaf by Loaf | Higher pitched and newer metal roofs shake off half of a winter's worth of snow. Others require more manual labor. Luckily, my love does this part. This week he cleared roofs only to have it dump another 10" the next night. |
Roofs still holding onto their snow loads are beginning to drip during the noticeably longer afternoons then freeze over night. The pic below shows both the moon and Jupiter traversing the sky together. The ultimate one night stand!
A few years ago, I kept track of when and where the sun met our horizon. It was interesting to track my perspective of Earth wobbling through the cosmos.
The husband is outside in the skid steer clearing the drive. So, I have the house to myself. Now that the bread is baked and the blog is ready to post, I'll be focusing on the big painting. Hoping to get a good chunk of it done within the next few days. Wish me luck & stay tuned for more creative adventures! Thank you so much for stopping by!
