I started the week off on the wrong foot--over sleeping while I was supposed to be substituting. (Had set the alarm for 8PM!) Strike one.
I began working with Serif Movie Plus X5 to edit the next time-lapse YouTube video. The program looks to be wonderful; my understanding of it is what's lacking. I did push through the dull throb behind my eyes to get one big section done. But, there on the computer, the file still sits . . . waiting. Strike two.
I decided to reorganize my files on the laptop and compare them to my desktop. . . still working on that. The headache returned. I think it's time for new glasses and less computer screen staring. Strike three.
By Thursday, I had moped around the house with the guilt of half finished projects for long enough. The weather had warmed to just over 50*F. For the mountains in April, that's a wonderful taste of the oncoming summer, however brief it may be. I took it!
The sunshine was key in adjusting my frumpy attitude! I sat in its rays with girlfriends at the coffee shop gabbing and laughing over Ginger Tea. I opened the door to let the warming air breathe new life into my very cold studio. Umpteen trips up and down the stairs to my crafting storage got my blood pumping. I kept the pace up with some good tunes. I cleared some cabinets and drawers to make room for new items. I rearranged the floor plan to section it off even more. Now customers have about two-thirds of the studio and it has a much more open feeling.
I love this hopeful time of year. Spring is making the ground soggy with melting snow. Mother Nature is waking from her winter slumber and so am I! It is the time to put all of those plans into action. It is a time of doing!
So with that, I'm turning off the computer. I'm pulling out my beads, clay, canvases, and fabric and going into Spring production. Thanks to sunny days, my motor is revved. Off I go!
